The future face of pensions

The Brief
Create an engaging event to help employees that have Scottish Widows pensions, face up to their financial future. The point is to get people talking and excited about pensions (no mean feat) and create a buzz around the office.

The Idea
Half of the UK aren’t saving enough for their retirement. A lot of people don’t take it seriously because retirement is such a distant prospect.

That’s why we produced “Age Me” – a personalised digital experience that shows people the realities of not saving enough. Based on your saving behaviour, you can discover what age you could be, and what you might look like, by the time you’re expected to retire.

The Result
Age Me went on to become the highlight of all Scottish Widows experiential activities, and receive a raft of awards. With further tech enhancements, it then became “Meet your Future Self” and appeared on Channel 4 with George Clarke as part of the “Changing Futures series”.

The Age Me game was so successful that Scottish Widows took it on the road around the UK, getting ordinary members of the public to face there pension future.
